Black Friday…Cyber Monday…and #GivingTuesday!

GivingTuesday3
You’ve heard of Black Friday and Cyber Monday? Well, get ready for #GivingTuesday!

Operation Gratitude has joined #GivingTuesday, a philanthropic movement that is transforming how people participate in the season of giving. Coinciding with Thanksgiving and the height of holiday shopping, #GivingTuesday was established in 2012 to inspire people to take collaborative action to give back to the causes that matter most deeply to them.

So on Tuesday, December 3, just a few days ahead of our historic Millionth Care Package Celebration on December 7, Operation Gratitude will join other nonprofit organizations to celebrate a day dedicated to philanthropy!

Will you join us? With your help, our combined efforts on #GivingTuesday will demonstrate how we can offer a full variety of gifts—including those that change the lives of people we may never meet—deployed Service Members, Veterans, Wounded Warriors, Emergency First Responders and Military Families.

Please get the word out to friends and family about #GivingTuesday — use the #GivingTuesday and #OpGrat hashtags in your social media posts!

And remember — EVERY gift counts! Your generous donations will help us go beyond our One Millionth Package as we begin our March to Two Million Packages!

THANK YOU for your support!

About Operation Gratitude

Operation Gratitude annually sends 200,000+ care packages to Veterans, First Responders, New Recruits, Wounded Heroes, their Care Givers, and to individually named U.S. service members deployed overseas and their families waiting at home. Each package is filled with food, entertainment, hygiene and hand-made items, as well as personal letters of support. Our mission is to lift the spirits and meet the evolving needs of the Military and First Responder communities, and provide volunteer opportunities for civilians anywhere in America to express their appreciation to all who serve our nation. Each package contains donated product valued between $45 and $100 and costs our organization $15 to assemble and ship. Since its inception in 2003, Operation Gratitude volunteers have shipped more than 1.6 Million Care Packages.
