September 11, 2001: Never Forget…..We pause to remember the events of eleven years ago today.
For the past five years, the Pepperdine University community in Malibu, CA, places nearly 3,000 flags on the front lawn of its main campus. Each flag represents a life that was lost during the terrorist attacks. Here’s a link to a video about last year’s “Wave of Flags” Memorial: http://vimeo.com/15694393
On Sunday, 9/16, join friends of Operation Gratitude as we “Ride to the Flags” — starting at Pt. Mugu Naval Base in Oxnard and ending in Malibu — to honor and remember the victims of 9/11. Learn more here: http://www.ridetotheflags.com/
Our work to support our nation’s heroes continues. In honor of 9/11, Operation Gratitude will be open to Volunteers from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm: http://www.operationgratitude.com/volunteer/volunteer-info-schedule/
As always, THANK YOU for your support.
Reblogged this on rope.
