Help Send Our Troops Sweet Hugs from Home

Cinnabon Partners with Operation Gratitude to Send “Hugs from Home”  Holiday Care Packages for Our Troops!

There’s tremendous excitement in the works for the 2010 Holiday Drive…and it starts right now with the most delicious promotion we’ve ever done!

Check out Cinnabon’s Hugs From Home campaign. You can send some Cinnabon love to our brave troops deployed in harm’s way and enjoy some yummy treats for yourself at the same time.

Through the month of October at participating Cinnabon bakeries, for every dollar you donate to Operation Gratitude,  Cinnabon will give you a $1.00 “Cinnabuck” to redeem on your next purchase! A sweet deal for you AND for the troops!

PLUS!  Tweets for Troops: Include #cinnabonsaysthx in every tweet during the month of October and Cinnabon will chip in an additional 10 cents to Operation Gratitude, up to $10,000!

That means we need 100,000 Tweets to earn the $10,000. That’s a lot of Tweets, but we can do it!

Twitterers: For those of you already on Twitter, please use #cinnabonsaysthx in every tweet you post, and retweet others’ tweets whenever you see they include #cinnabonsaysthx. Then tell everyone you know to do the same!

Non-Twitterers: I know Twitter seems like a foreign world and you are reluctant to go near it, but we could really use everyone’s help with this.   I urge you to open a Twitter account for yourself, even if just for this month. It is very simple.

Go to: Twitter ( ). You can tweet from your computer or from your Smart Phone –anywhere, anytime. Once you join, all you need to write in the “What’s Happening” box is: #cinnabonsaysthx and then click “Tweet.”

Visit Operation Gratitude’s twitter page at to see what we tweet about and get ideas for yourself!

Make this a sweet Holiday season for our troops!

About Operation Gratitude

Operation Gratitude annually sends 200,000+ care packages to Veterans, First Responders, New Recruits, Wounded Heroes, their Care Givers, and to individually named U.S. service members deployed overseas and their families waiting at home. Each package is filled with food, entertainment, hygiene and hand-made items, as well as personal letters of support. Our mission is to lift the spirits and meet the evolving needs of the Military and First Responder communities, and provide volunteer opportunities for civilians anywhere in America to express their appreciation to all who serve our nation. Each package contains donated product valued between $45 and $100 and costs our organization $15 to assemble and ship. Since its inception in 2003, Operation Gratitude volunteers have shipped more than 1.6 Million Care Packages.
